Horror/dramedy series debuts March 17 on Prime Video
From time to time Donald Glover's hit FX series Atlanta could feel more like horror than comedy. His follow-up series, co-created by Janine Nabers (a veteran of not just Atlanta but also Watchmen) and set in the previous decade, falls even more firmly into the horror/thriller genre. The show's sole regular is Dominique Fishback (The Deuce), who plays Dre, a young woman who becomes obsessed with a Beyoncé-like pop star and heads on a cross-country trip. That sounds semi-innocuous until you notice all the blood in the trailer. (We'd tell you more, but Amazon appears to be keeping the story a secret.) Chloe Bailey, Damson Idris, Rory Culkin, Kiersey Clemons, and Paris Jackson also appear in the series. All seven episodes, including the Donald Glover-directed opener, will be available to stream at once, though anyone headed to SXSW can catch the premiere early at the festival.
