Miniseries debuts March 3 on Prime Video
First ordered to series by Amazon in 2018—before the source material, a novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, was even published—the 10-episode rock drama finally begins streaming this week (with multiple episodes added weekly through March 24). Tracing the rise and fall of a fictional, Fleetwood Mac-style 1970s rock band from L.A.'s Laurel Canyon scene over multiple decades, Daisy Jones stars Riley Keough in the title role alongside Suki Waterhouse, Sam Claflin, Timothy Olyphant, Will Harrison, Sebastian Chacon, and Josh Whitehouse. The adaptation comes from Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber (The Spectacular Now), while directors include James Ponsoldt, who helms the first five episodes. Will there be original music? You bet: A total of 24 songs were written for the series (by Grammy nominee Blake Mills, plus Phoebe Bridgers, Marcus Mumford, and Jackson Browne, among others) and performed by the cast, and nearly half of those will be available on the fake (but now real) band's debut album Aurora, which also releases on March 3rd.
