10 Films to See in March
The arrival of spring should bring with it some better (or at least bigger) options at the cineplex, including a promising new Disney animated film, a semi-sequel to Cloverfield, and a big question mark in Batman v Superman. But this month's big effects-driven disaster pic comes not from Hollywood, but from Norway. Art houses will also be graced with new films from noted directors Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Terrence Malick, Jeff Nichols, and Arnaud Desplechin.
While there have been rumblings of concern at Warner Bros. about director Zack Snyder’s sequel to Man of Steel and his overall vision for the DC Comics universe, Warner Bros. announced last week that production would start on Justice League Part 1 in April. Does that mean that this introduction of Ben Affleck’s Batman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor and Jeremy Iron’s Alfred will be better than that of Henry Cavill’s Superman? Let's hope so.
