This long-delayed solo-outing for Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen finally makes it into theaters as new Co-CEO of DC Studios James Gunn preps his Superman movie. The future of The Flash in DC’s filmography is unknown—much as it is in this multiverse film that sees Barry travel back in time in an attempt to save his family, unwittingly releasing a chain of events that sees General Zod (Michael Shannon) return in a world with no active superheroes. Luckily, there’s a retired Batman (Michael Keaton) and an imprisoned Kryptonian (Sasha Calle) that might be able to help. Directed by Andy Muschietti (It, It: Chapter Two) from a script by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey) and Joby Harold (Army of the Dead), The Flash also features Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Ante Traue as Faora-UI, and Ron Livingston and Maribel Verdú as Barry’s parents.
