Out July 27 for PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4
A brand-new IP from Canadian indie studio Norsfell, Midgard blends exploration, crafting, combat, survival, and RPG elements with a story based on Norse mythology. Play solo or in groups of up to 10 players in PvE co-op as you attempt to save Midgard from a variety of mythical (and often gigantic) forces who hope to bring on Ragnarök (spoiler alert: that's not good). Dynamic scaling means that the number of enemies adjusts as players jump in and out of the fight, and all of the game's environments are procedurally generated, which should encourage players to explore the surroundings. In a twist, the survival element involves not you but a tree that lies at the center of your village. (If you die, you can rejoin the fight, minus a few belongings, but if the tree goes, it's game over.)
