Out July 27 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch
Koei Tecmo's long-running Dynasty Warriors spinoff series returns after a seven-year gap with a new installment that is intended as a series reboot. That means retooled visuals (inspired by traditional Japanese painting) and character designs and a new story set in the late 16th century during Japan's "Warring States" period. SW5 will feature 27 fully playable characters, with roughly half of those making their first appearance in the Samurai Warriors series and the others returning from the four previous games.
