Movie debuts January 13 on Hulu
An excellent cast (and a pretty good trailer) have us cautiously optimistic about this straight-to-Hulu cringe comedy about a destination wedding gone wrong. And by "wrong" we mean accidentally-dropping-your-friend's-infant-on-the-ground wrong—an event that causes old resentments to resurface. (Don't worry: The baby's fine.) Directed by Sarah Adina Smith (Buster's Mal Heart), The Drop stars Anna Konkle, Jermaine Fowler, Aparna Nancherla, Jillian Bell, and Robin Thede (among others) and counts the Duplass brothers among its producers.
