Adapting the script from his own 2020 audio drama, Jessie Eisenberg makes his feature directing debut with this domestic drama starring Julianne Moore as a mother struggling to understand her son (Finn Wolfhard), an aspiring internet star. She runs a shelter for survivors of domestic abuse, and he is obsessed with his online fans. But when they try to find replacements for each other—her with a teenager (Billy Bryk) she meets at the shelter and him with romantic interest Lila (Alisha Boe)—only more problems arise. For critics who saw it at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival, Moore and Wolfhard make it work.
