Miniseries debuts January 13 on HBO. A better title might have been "The Two Popes," but that's already taken. (We are apparently living in an era of Peak Pope.) Director Paolo Sorrentino's nine-episode sequel to his 2017 miniseries The Young Pope returns star Jude Law and finds John Malkovich's Sir John Brannox taking over the papal throne while Law's Pope Pius XIII is in a coma. Sharon Stone and Marilyn Manson guest, because why not.
