Writer-director M. Night Shyamalan’s follow-up to 2021’s Old is an adaptation of Paul Tremblay’s bestselling novel The Cabin at the End of the World. With a screenplay by Shyamalan, Steve Desmond, and Michael Sherman, this thriller captures what happens when a young girl (Kristen Cui) and her parents (Jonathan Groff and Ben Aldridge) are taken hostage by four armed strangers played by Dave Bautista, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Abby Quinn, and Rupert Grint. Convinced the apocalypse is happening, the strangers believe the only way to avert it is for the family to sacrifice one of their own. Will Shyamalan change up the book’s ending with a twist of his own?
