In writer-director Colin West’ s (Double Walker) sophomore feature, Jim Gaffigan stars as a suburban father and host of a failing children’s science TV show whose dreams of becoming an astronaut resurface when a satellite crashes into the suburban home he shares with his wife (Better Call Saul’s Rhea Seehorn) and daughter (Katelyn Nacon). The film’s comedic absurdity and thoughtfully earnest performances result in a surprisingly effective tearjerker about life and love.
