While some of the most-anticipated games originally expected this year have—no surprise here—been delayed into 2018, the fall months will still bring plenty of options. Below, we profile the most noteworthy videogames scheduled for release between now and the end of 2017.
This sixth main chapter (and first in six years) in the fighting crossover series introduces some (relatively) major changes to the franchise in an attempt to make it more accessible to casual gamers. Combat is now 2v2 instead of 3v3, and there is a greater emphasis on story. Characters include returning figures like Iron Man, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Captain America, Chun-Li, and Ryu, and newcomers such as Ultron, Black Panther, Mega Man X, and Sigma.
