Well, now he really is the best looking guy here. The final Final Fantasy game from the original PlayStation console to get a graphical upgrade, FF8 heads to current generation hardware in a few weeks with some much-needed polish. The RPG earned raves when it was first released 20 years ago, even if the graphics haven't aged well. Because it's a mere HD remaster rather than a full remake, it's a relative bargain, too, at just $20.
Also getting the remaster treatment in the coming months is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, an action-RPG first released in 2004 for GameCube. The new version (which also features re-recorded voice acting) will eventually be out for PS4, Switch, and even iOS, though possibly not until early 2020.
