The Most-Anticipated Videogames Coming This Fall
Don't be too sad that summer's ending: It just means that the year's biggest videogames are about to start rolling out over the coming weeks. In the gallery above, we preview this fall's most-anticipated game releases headed to every console (and PC), from Red Dead Redemption 2 to a bunch of games that aren't Red Dead Redemption 2.
Out December 7 for Switch (exclusive). Built from the ground up for the new console, the first installment in the franchise-blending fighting series for the Switch is a big one. For one thing: Every single playable character included in the five previous games (and DLC) will be available in Ultimate. Combined with franchise newcomers like Metroid's Ridley, Princess Daisy from the Mario series, and the Inklings from Splatoon, you'll have over 70 fighters in total to play with across 103 different stages (again, a mix of new and returning). Expect the physics of fighting to be tweaked a bit, and everything to feel faster.
A new limited edition Super Smash Bros. Pro controller will also go on sale in December, but you can use your standard Switch controller, or even a GameCube controller.
