Below are the highest-scoring games released for Microsoft's Xbox One console between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016. Games are ranked by Metascore prior to rounding, and any titles with fewer than 7 reviews from professional critics are excluded.
While 2014's Titanfall, the multiplayer shooter from a team of former Call of Duty developers, scored fairly strong reviews, it couldn't quite meet all of fans' (perhaps unrealistic) expectations. This first major sequel adds a single-player campaign, and the result seems to be pleasing both critics and gamers—even if Xbox owners can't claim it as a console exclusive anymore.
