Shrouded in controversy prior to its premiere at January's Sundance Film Festival due to producer Oprah Winfrey and distributor Apple TV+ pulling their support from the project, this documentary (from The Invisible War filmmakers Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering) about the women who have come forward publicly to accuse hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons of sexual assault nonetheless earned excellent reviews from critics at the fest and ultimately found a new home at HBO Max.
