Josh Greenbaum, the director of the beloved Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar, is at the helm of this comedy about Reggie, an optimistic border terrier voiced by Will Ferrell, who’s abandoned by his dirtbag owner, Doug (Will Forte). While on the streets, Reggie meets a Boston terrier named Bug (Jamie Foxx), who loves the freedom of not having an owner, Maggie (Isla Fisher), an Australian shepherd who has been replaced by a new puppy, and Hunter (Randall Park), a Great Dane stressed by his work as an emotional support animal. Written by American Vandal creator Dan Perrault, their foul-mouth adventures see them discovering the joys of alcohol and drugs, and eventually confronting Doug.
