Season 8 debuts August 12 on NBC
The beloved comedy has ended once before (only to be revived by NBC after its Fox cancelation), but this is truly the end. Delayed a full year after producers opted to scrap a partially written season last summer in light of the nationwide protests following the George Floyd murder, this 10-episode final send-off for your favorite NYPD precinct will see the returns of frequent guest stars Craig Robinson, Jason Mantzoukas, Marc Evan Jackson (he's from Earth), and Nicole Byer—plus former Nine-Nine regular Chelsea Peretti—alongside new guests like John C. McGinley. How exactly the show will address last year's events remains a secret, but don't expect the status quo. (And do expect an episode where the 99th precinct is saddled with all of the NYPD's Hitchcocks and Scullys, which can only be a good thing—for us.)
