Adapted from Alexis Schaitkin's debut novel by Leila Gerstein (Mrs. America), the eight-part series switches between multiple timelines to show the mysterious death of an American college student while on a family vacation in the Caribbean and its effects on her sister—then, a seven-year-old child, now a grown woman—who encounters one of the men accused of her sister's murder. Dee Rees (Mudbound) directs a cast that includes Alycia Debnam-Carey, West Duchovny, Josh Bonzie, Betsy Brandt, Michael Park, and Bre Francis.
