Yesterday, in part 1 of our preview, we looked at 2017's most-anticipated sequels and remakes. Today, in our conclusion, we pick out the coming year's most promising new properties, both from big name developers as well as indie studios.

What: An adventure game/platformer from indie studio Tequila Works (Deadlight). Offering a wordless, discovery-filled journey through an open-world island environment, Rime has been compared by game journalists to Ico and Journey, though that may be setting expectations a bit too high. Originally a Sony-published PS4 exclusive, it is now headed to all the major consoles and PC.
