William Marston

Biography: In addition to creating the fictional character Wonder Woman, Marston also invented the systolic blood pressure test for lie detection, which became the basis of polygraphy. He was married to lawyer Elizabeth Holloway. They lived in a polyamorous relationship with his former student, writer Olive "Dotsie" Richard. Olive physically resembled Diana Prince (Wonder Woman's alter ego), even wearing silver bracelets. Marston had two children with each woman. The four children and three parents lived together as a family. Until he died in 1947, Marston wrote all Wonder Woman stories. Artist H.G. Peter drew the comic book. After Marston's death, Holloway and Richard remained together as a couple for the rest of their lives. Wife Elizabeth died in 1993 at age 100.
