Thomas Gomez

Biography: An overweight character actor of Hollywood films, he began working onstage in 1924, remaining a stage actor until the early '40s. He debuted onscreen in 1942, going on to play many imposing character roles, often as a menacing, sweaty villain. He rarely appeared in films after 1961. For his portrayal of the Mexican in Ride a Pink Horse (1947) he received a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination.
