Thomas Gibson
Biography: With his camera-ready looks and impeccable stage training, it was only a matter of time before Gibson found success on screen. Involved in community theater since his youth, the handsome actor won a scholarship to New York's prestigious Juilliard School, and after graduation, began racking up impressive classical stage credits. By the late 1980s, Gibson was appearing in soaps and the occasional film, but he became a name during the next decade with a series of memorable small-screen turns: a philandering husband in the miniseries Armistead Maupin's 'Tales of the City', an arrogant doctor on Chicago Hope, and a pent-up yuppie with a wacky wife on Dharma & Greg. Although he primarily acted as a foil for his loopy costar Jenna Elfman on the sitcom, Gibson still earned a pair of Golden Globe nods for his work. After Dharma went off the air, Gibson headlined a string of TV-movies before taking on the role of FBI agent Aaron Hotchner on the hit police procedural Criminal Minds.
