Theresa Russell

Biography: Theresa Russell (born Theresa Paup) began modeling at age 12. In her late teens she studied theater at the Actors' Studio in Hollywood for two years. She debuted onscreen in Elia Kazan's The Last Tycoon (1977) while still a teenager and soon came to be known as one of the most promising actresses of her generation. Russell married screenwriter-director Nicholas Roeg and appeared in several of his films, notably the controversial Bad Timing (1980). She has tended to play desperate, self-destructive free spirits, often with a slightly psychotic edge.
