Ted Kotcheff
Biography: After working in Canadian television during the mid '50s, Kotcheff directed television and theater in England. He started helming features in 1962, and attracted attention in the early '70s with his Australian drama Outback. Most fondly remembered for helming Mordechai Richler's comedy/dramas of Canadian Jewish life, The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz and Joshua Then And Now, Kotcheff has stuck mostly to actioners (First Blood, Uncommon Valor) and comedy (Switching Channels, Weekend at Bernie's).
