Biography:
Doug Savant is probably most recognized as playing Matt Fielding, the only regular gay character on Melrose Place.
He met and married Laura Leighton, who also starred with him playing Sydney Andrews. The couple married in 1997 and have two children, Jack Douglas, who was born on Oct. 10, 2000 and Lucy Jane, who was born June 9th, 2005.
He has joined his fellow Melrose Place cast mate Marcia Cross on Desperate Housewives playing Tom Scavo the husband of Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman).
