Robert Towne

Biography: Robert Towne is a screenwriter who, after initial experience with Roger Corman (including a stint acting under the name Edward Wain) in the early '60s, broke through to serious films in the 1970s, including The Last Detail (1973), Chinatown (1974), and Shampoo (1975). He has also directed Tequila Sunrise (1988).
