Raymond Hatton
Biography: By the age of 12 he was working in vaudeville and stock, breaking into films at the dawn of cinema in 1911. He eventually appeared in over 300 silent and sound movies, and was still onscreen in the mid '60s. In the silent era he was featured prominently in many Cecil B. DeMille productions, and in the '20s he costarred with Wallace Beery in a series of rough and tumble comedies. In the '30s and '40s he specialized as a comic sidekick for such Western stars as Johnny Mack Brown and Buck Jones; he was one of the Three Mesquiteers in that series of films, and also costarred in the Rough Riders series.
