Procol Harum

Biography: Procol Harum was one of the most experimental rock bands of the 1960's. While others were turning on and dropping out, PH was definitely tuning into unique musical orchestration. Led by singer/pianist Gary Brooker, guitarist/lyricist Keith Reid, and fellow guitarist Robin Trower, PH cut six albums between 1967 and 1973, when the band went its seperate ways. Robin Trower, who left the band in 1971, went on to a moderately successful solo career. Several greatest-hits compilations have been released since then, including a 1987 album in conjunction with A&M's 20th anniversary.
