Nanette Newman

Biography: Attractive British actress, seen in many films over several decades. Born into a show-business family, she had lost both her parents by the time she was 21; in the same year, she married Bryan Forbes. He was the scriptwriter or the director (or, usually, both) on almost all her major film appearances - "The League Of Gentlemen", "Seance On A Wet Afternoon", "The Wrong Box", "Deadfall", "The Madwoman Of Chaillot", "The Raging Moon", as well as the TV movies "Jessie" and "The Endless Game". She also starred in TV sitcoms and had several years of fronting a popular series of commercials for washing-up liquid. Her daughter Emma Forbes has had a successful career as a TV presenter.
