Michael Z. Gordon

Biography: Michael Z. Gordon penned his first hit song,"Surfer's Stomp" after recognizing the start of a new era, the surfing craze. The record was an immediate hit for his first musical group, the Mar-kets. He toured with the Mar-kets and after deciding to take a month off from touring, he went back into the studio and recorded the national hit song, "Let's Go!" by his second group, The Routers.
While touring with the Routers, he wrote the smash hit, "Outer Limits", which went to #1 in the country in Cash Box magazine and earned him his first BMI award for instrumental of the year. After taking the Marketts back out on the road for two more years, he decided to give up personal appearances and concentrating on songwriting.
He teamed up with Jimmy Griffin (of Bread) and wrote over sixty songs, forty of which were recorded by major artists, including "Apologize" by Ed Aames, which earned him his second BMI award for "Song Of The Year". He went on to write and produce music for

He went on to write and produce music for movies and TV, including Pulp Fiction and the "Spider", an episdode from the Tom Hanks HBO series, "From the Earth to the Moon".
Michael is now producing films full time and his roster of completed movie productions include Narc, (which grossed over $25,000,000), The Devil and The Daniel Webster (starring Anthony Hopkins, Alec Baldwin, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Kim Cattrall), In Enemy Hands (due out in 2004), Mafioso: The Father, the Son (a "Soprano's type film, due out October 2004). He is currently im production with "Silent Partner" (working title) and a comedy television pilot based on the movie, "Mafioso".
