Michael Radford
Biography: Director Michael Radford got his start directing music documentaries in the early '80s. He became a feature filmmaker in the mid-'80s, making his feature-film debut in 1984 with an adaptation of George Orwell's novel 1984. Radford's subsequent output has been of widely varying quality but in 1995, he earned international acclaim and an Oscar nomination for Il Postino (The Postman).
