Michael Kidd
Biography: A ballet dancer and choreographer by the early '40s, Kidd became an acclaimed Broadway choreographer and began working on Hollywood musicals in the early '50s. Kidd's notable film work includes Vincente Minnelli's The Band Wagon, Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly's It's Always Fair Weather, Donen's Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Movie, Movie, Joseph L. Mankiewicz' Guys and Dolls, the Danny Kaye vehicles Knock on Wood and Merry Andrew (which Kidd also directed), Robert Wise's Star!, and Kelly's Hello Dolly. Kidd also acted in Michael Ritchie's Smile and Blake Edwards' Skin Deep.
