Merwin Goldsmith

Biography: Character actor Merwin Goldsmith has enjoyed a long career on-stage, with occasional film and television appearances. Born in Detroit in 1937, his training includes work at the Bristol Old Vic and the Liverpool Playhouse in England in addition to a B.A. from UCLA. His Broadway shows include roles in Me and My Girl, Rex, Dirty Linen, Chemin De Fer, The 1940s Radio Hour, and Minnie's Boys. On the big screen, he has worked -- in both comedic and dramatic roles -- in Hercules in New York, Shamus, Cadillac Man, Boardwalk, Lily in Love, Quiz Show, It Could Happen to You, and Joe Gould's Secret, while his television roles have included appearances in Law and Order, The Zapruder Footage, Kennedy, and Goodtime Girls.
