Meg Bennett

Biography: Meg is an American daytime actress and writer. She is married to Robert Guza Jr., another daytime writer. Meg's first venture in daytime came in 1980, when she was cast as Julia Newman in CBS's daytime drama "The Young and the Restless." She played the role until 1984 and decided to only write for soaps. She occasionally returned to the show in guest appearances in 1986 and 2002. Her first writing job started in 1981, when she wrote scripts for "The Young and the Restless." She left that job in 1987 to become a script writer for a newly created soap, "The Bold and the Beautiful." In 1989, she joined the crew of "Generations," also a new soap, but then crossed over to work on "Santa Barbara" from 1991 to the show end in 1993. She was then hired as an Associate Head Writer for ABC's soap "General Hospital," but she left the show in 1997 to work on "Sunset Beach," a show that she eventually became the Head Writer for, but was fired in the middle of 1998.
