Marie Wallace

Biography: Marie Wallace started her life in New York, born in a NY hospital and growing up in the heart of Manhattan.

Marie appeared in her first professional production, Off-Broadway, at a very early age. During that time, she also modeled, both on the runway and in print. She soon got into her first Broadway show, "Gypsy," starring Ethel Merman. The previews for that production were in Philadelphia and after that, they opened at the Broadway Theatre in New York and the show ran for a year and a half. Marie also landed a job as a staff actress for NBC, in a training program they had for executives. That gig also lasted well over a year. The Broadway credits that followed were Roxanna deVilbiss in "The Beauty Part" with Bert Lahr; Linda in "Nobody Loves an Albatross" with Robert Preston; Helen Garland in the English drama "The Right Honourable Gentleman" with Nancy Reardon, Sylvia O'Brien, Coral Browne and Frances Sternhagen; Ursula in "Sweet Charity" with Gwen Verdon and Ruth

In between these engagements, Marie did more Off-Broadway, summer stock, regional theatre, television shows and commercials, dinner theatre and national tours. She was featured in "Carousel," playing the role of Mrs. Mulin with Robert Goulet; and she toured the country with Jackie Gleason and Cleavon Little, playing the part of Miss Fancy in "Sly Fox."

"Dark Shadows" fans know that Marie played three parts on the show. The first was Eve, who was created for Adam, on the operating table from old bones. After Adam killed her, she re-appeared as Jenny Collins, affectionately known as "Crazy Jenny." She got killed again, this time by Quentin, and came back as a third and final character, Megan Todd. Marie then went over to NBC and created a new character (India Delaney) for a new soap opera called "Somerset."

After about five years of soaps in New York, Marie went to LA on a television assignment and stayed for two years, making guest appearances on TV shows such as "Fame" and "Fantasy Island," and filming a number of commercials.

Marie returned back to New York and has been there ever since, except for theatrical tours or other work that takes her to various parts of the country.

She was always an avid photographer and turned her avocation into a new profession. Marie is now busy as a professional photographer, shooting assignments for many clients in New York; including New York Presbyterian Hospital, NYU Medical Center, and Century Center for the Performing Arts.
