Malcolm David Kelley

Biography: Former child actor Kelley spent the first 11 months of his life in the California foster-care system before being adopted, and as a teen he was recognized for working with an advocacy group for abused and neglected children. He became intrigued with acting at a young age: At 5, he was appearing in commercials for Bell South, Cap'n Crunch and McDonald's, and by the age of 6 he had made his TV acting debut, racking up guest spots on shows such as Girlfriends and Eve. In 2004, he hit the big time when he landed his first role as a series regular on Lost. As Walt Lloyd, the youngest plane-crash survivor on the smash series, this precocious performer held his own against his more seasoned cast mates as he portrayed a young adolescent attempting to bond with his estranged father under very unusual circumstances. Unfortunately, Kelley's screen time was limited: After being kidnapped at the end of Season 1, he was mostly MIA and appeared on the series only sporadically after that (timeFormer child actor Kelley spent the first 11 months of his life in the California foster-care system before being adopted, and as a teen he was recognized for working with an advocacy group for abused and neglected children. While Walt was no longer seen much on the island, Kelley continued to pop up in guest appearances on other TV shows (My Name Is Earl, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Saving Grace) as well as in films (Mississippi Damned, The Kings of Appletown). Now an adult, Kelley continues to act and plans on becoming involved with other aspects of the entertainment industry, such as writing, producing and directing. Expand
