Biography: Lukas Rossi has proven that his vocal talents reach well beyond the "Mercury meets Buckley" comparisons offered by the general media. His vocal gift spans seven octaves ("and one half note") from a deep gutteral baritone to soaring soprano riffs. His songwriting has gained recognition from the industry as well as the International People's Voice Awards for Songwriting.

Mr Rossi has written and performed an amazing number of songs during his 17 year career. The development of this versatile artist began in the Jane and Lawrence area of Toronto Canada. Coping with a difficult childhood and broken home, he found solace in the music that he shared with his brother, Jonas. Lukas recognized early in his life that he was able to produce his own songs with ease and found a comfort in the process.

Before 2006, Mr Rossi formed and fronted two bands in Canada. The first was Cleavage (1995-2005) with brothers, Jonathan and Bill Jamieson. In 2005 he partnered with Pulse Ultra's guitarist, Dominic Cifarelli, and his friend, Jay Cianfrini, to form the band, Rise Electric in Montreal.

He was given a publishing deal with EMI Music Canada in 2004 which covers many of the Cleavage tracks as well as all of the Rise Electric music and other songs recently submitted. In the past, Lukas Rossi has had the opportunity to co-write and appear with other well-known Canadian bands, including Papa Roach. He has collaborated with musicians from I Mother, Tea Party, Edwin, Big Wreck, The Philosopher Kings, and Prozac as well as Rush guitarist, Alex Lifeson.

When Rise Electric was on hiatus in the spring of 2006, Lukas flew to LA to compete in the popular television show, Rockstar Supernova, as an audition for a new band comprised of Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), Jason Newsted (Metallica), and Gilby Clark (Guns N' Roses). His win culminated in a world tour of the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand being lead singer and front man for the full-out rock-and-roll sound of Rockstar Supernova.

Lukas then returned to LA to begin work on his own solo acoustic act. The Love and Lust EP was released in June 2007 and Lukas took to the road on a mission to meet all of the fans that had supported him during the beginning times. During this "Love and Lust Tour", he appeared in small, intimate settings --sharing his most recent songs and spending as much time with his fans as possible.

Lukas Rossi's live performances are now widely known to be the best way to experience the power of his music. He spent 2008 touring the US and Canada both solo and with his band, Stars Down. A second EP, Moodswings, featured Stars Down and his website offers live tracks from these road shows alternating between his soulful acoustic and the wickedly raw rock band performances.

Lukas continues to release new songs in a prolific manner. He is currently producing his next album and performing in major venues and charity benefits throughout the LA and southern California area. Many of his newest creations are offered as free or pay-what-you-want downloads to keep his world-wide fans happily, but anxiously, awaiting the next major release.
