Lewis Teague
Biography: Roger Corman protégé Lewis Teague started out as a film editor on many of Corman's American-International quickies of the 1970s. Teague was promoted to director on the 1974 actioner Dirty O'Neil, then went on to handle the second-unit direction of such productions as Death Race 2000 (1975), Avalanche (1978) and The Big Red One (1982). Teague's most successful directorial effort to date has been Jewel of the Nile (1985), the lighting-paced sequel to 1983's Romancing the Stone. Lewis Teague's TV-movie assignments have included the John Sayles-produced Shannon's Deal (1989).
