John McGiver
Biography: A bald, pudgy, ponderous character actor with owlish features and a nasal twang, he appears most often in comic roles. He worked as a Bronx high school teacher before beginning his TV and stage career in 1955, when he was already in his '40s. He debuted onscreen in 1957.
