Jeffrey Lynn
Biography: Lynn was born Ragnar Lind. After several years as a high school teacher he began acting in stock in the early '30s. In 1937 he was signed to a film contract by Warner Brothers; he played leads and second leads, often as a dependable, trustworthy suitor, boyfriend, or husband. He served in World War Two as a captain in Army Intelligence and was offscreen for seven years in the '40s, after which his film career never regained its momentum. In the '50s and '60s he worked more on stage and TV than in films; one of his roles was as wealthy newspaper editor Charles Clemens in the TV soap opera The Secret Storm. He retired from acting in the early '70s. From 1967-74 he was married to actress Patricia Davis.
