Helen O'Connell
Biography: Singer Helen O'Connell began her career singing for the Jimmy Dorsey Band in 1939. During the early 40's she had several hit records but it was "Green Eyes" that put her on the map. Helen retired in 1943 when she married and resumed her career in 1951 after her divorce. Helen O'Connell was hostess on the 1960 NBC series Here's Hollywood. She is perhaps best remembered as Bob Barker's co-host for the beauty pageant programs Miss USA and Miss Universe from 1972 to 1980.
