Heather Angel
Biography: Angel's theatrical debut at England's Old Vic in 1926 led to work in British films, beginning with City of Song (1930). Her delicate beauty caught the attention of Hollywood, where she began work in 1933 with Pilgrimage. Fox studios employed her primarily in undemanding roles and B-movies, including a string of six "Bulldog Drummond" mysteries. Angel's film career came to a halt in the late '40s, but she eventually found much work on American television including regular stints on Peyton Place (as the housekeeper) and Family Affair. In 1970, she witnessed the fatal stabbing of her third husband, director Robert B. Sinclair.
