Greg Moncrief

Biography: After graduating high school, Greg joined the Navy and specialed in engineering. After discharge, he began working on factory trawlers processing Pollock and Pacific cod. While he worked there, he met Ragnhild, his future wife. They met in 1986 and three years after that the two of them married.
With over 20 years of commercial fishing experience, Greg works on various smaller boats, mainly catcher boats for cod and Pollock and crab, working as an engineer/deckhand. He was given an chance to run a crab boat, and that boat was the Maverick. Then he ran the Shaman for a few years, and finally, 7 years ago, he began serving as captain on the Trident owned Farwest Leader.

When he isn't fishing, Greg works and golfs at the Harbor Point golf course in Mukilteo, Washington.
