Giorgos Kapoutzidis

Biography: Giorgos Kapoutzidis is a screenwriter and actor. He graduated from the Law School of the University of Thessaloniki (1990-1995) and from the Athens Drama School (1995-1998). Some of the people who studied with him were the actors Marios Athanasiou, Aggeliki Lampri, Melina Kutiakopoulou e.t.c.

His career with writing scripts started from an idea he had during he was in the army and also because it was hard for him to find work as an actor. One of his first collaborations outside from TV was with Takis Zacharatos. When he first came to Athens to find a job he started appearing at the National Opera House. In the meanwhile he would entertain his friends with screenplays that he would write. His friends suggested that he schould write a scenario and send it to some tv channels. His first writing job was the comedy Savatogenimenes in Mega Channel where he was the writer and held one of the minor parts. His next job as a writer was in the extremely popular tv show Sto Para Pente which is his greatest success to this day.
In 2006 his was selected by the National Hellenic Television to write the dialogs for Sakis Rouvas and Maria Menounos for the Eurovision contest.… Expand
