Gerda Nicolson
Biography:
Gerda first came to the attention of Australian audiences in soap opera 'Bellbird'. From 'Bellbird' she appeared as a regular on the Australian detective drama 'Bluey' before landing her most recognisable role as Governor Ann Reynolds in 'Prisoner'.
Gerda played Ann Reynolds from 1983 - taking over from Patsy King - until the series end in 1986.
After 'Prisoner', Gerda returned to theatre, where in 1992 she died of a massive stroke moments before appearing on stage. She was 54 at the time of her death.
