Fay Bainter
Biography: A child actress on stage in the late 1890s, Bainter began acting in films with the 1934 drama This Side Of Heaven. In her four-decade career, she appeared in several notable films, including George Stevens' Quality Street and Woman Of The Year, Leo McCarey's Make Way For Tomorrow, Edmond Goulding's White Banners (for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress), William Wyler's Jezebel (for which she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress) and The Children's Hour, Clarence Brown's The Human Comedy, and the Danny Kaye comedies The Kid From Brooklyn and The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty.
