Eddie Steeples

Biography: Lots of actors appear in commercials before becoming famous. But few become famous by appearing in a commercial. Though he'd starred in several indies during the 1990s, Steeples made his first big impression as the "Rubberband Man" in a series of spots for OfficeMax in 2004. (He was so popular, the company created a Web site for the character.) His infectious energy and striking looks helped him land a supporting role on the offbeat sitcom My Name Is Earl the next year. A passionate musician, Steeples performs as a solo act and with the hip-hop outfit No Surrender.
