Dona Drake

Biography: Born Rita Novella, this petite, vivacious, temperamental, brunette singer, dancer, and actress began her career as a band vocalist under the name "Rita Rio", and appeared in one film under that name, Strike Me Pink (1936). Excepting that production, she began working in films in 1941, and over the next decade-plus she played hot-spirited second leads and occasional leads.
