Clive A. Smith
Biography: Producer, director and animator Clive A. Smith is a co-founder of Nelvana, an animation production company established in 1971 to provide high-quality television and feature-film programming for children and families. The studio was responsible for such television shows as Ewoks, Rupert the Bear and Sam and Max. Feature-film credits include Pippi Longstocking (1997). Smith started out in 1964 working for the London-based animation studio Group Two. He moved to Canada in 1967 to work with Al Guest and Vladimir Geotzleman as an animator and a designer.
